This time of year most people start looking back over the past year. You’ll see lists of milestones and past occurances. Personally I prefer to look ahead this time of year.
While everyone has their head turned looking over the shoulder at unchangeable events, I am looking ahead at things that can be influenced.
So as I am looking forward to where the new horizons are, it strikes me that the online world is only a piece of the macro view. There are multitudes of factors to be considered.
Firmly believing that massive opportunity exists in the international growth areas that are catching up to the first world, that is where the search began. It took me only a few minutes to come across a wonderfully detailed article that revealed the virgin market mentioned in the title.
By comparison “the total loss of market capitalization in the 2001 “tech bubble” crash was just over four trillion dollars.” quoted from resource linked below.
This mention is for the young turks that I recently witnessed stating that the only new frontiers exist online. While I agree that there is great potential in the online virtual frontier and have as of late written much to that effect. That doesn’t mean I believe there are no real world bricks and mortar, tires and pavement type opportunities and challenges requiring a pioneer.
The resource that I am quoting from is so detailed and the challenge so massive I am still trying to obsorb it all. That is why I call it a quest.
So if you feel there are no new real world horizons that haven’t been conquered I urge you to pick up the challenge of the article on TSC Daily written by Peter F. Schaefer titled The “Next Big Thing” for Global Business
If you feel that your business skills are untaxed. You wish there was a place to make your mark. Think on this awhile.
For those of you already hip to this and working on it. I salute you. You will hear more from me on this. I am opening a new category “Bottom of The Pyramid”
Look ahead to the year before you.

You know I have thought and many in my sphere of influence have considered China to be the New Frontier. I mean 1.3 billion consumers, a coal fired power plant coming on line everyday. Old world economy oil, steel, wire, cotton and rubber. Have you looked into copper in the commodities market lately?
The growth potential is unparalleled. Some I know have been, others are making plans to go and not return. Go east young man. Read the signs. They are written in Simplified Chinese.
Yes, but I am reading some different kind of signs. I am seeing movement and migration into a different frontier. One that encompasses not just a geographical shift in resources and market strategies but a paradigm shift as well.
Of course I am speaking to the shift to virtual universes, virtual worlds, the virtual reality. Whole communities of multitudes of people. Wherein over $500,000 in usd values trade hands everyday. World’s like Second Life are growing in membership by 10% daily.
Yes I know that you have heard this before and you may not be surprised that movie premiers have been launched in ‘Second Life’. Some of the companies that have storefronts in that world should make you think.
Techcrunch announced that Dell was pissing off press by announcing a product launch inside Second Life, with the purchase of some virtual real estate where computers may be purchased with USD and Linden Dollars. Linden Dollars are Second Life’s currency that can be earned and spent on line and also traded for US Dollars. The Techcrunch article is here. This is merely one…. (more…)

So how are you living today?
Are you working towards your goals and dreams? If not what are you doing? Will a win by the democrats or republicans change anything for you? More on this in a little..
I realize that everyone is excited about the election. Change opens up the possibilities. Only if you do something commiserate with that change.
It is just another crutch. If I only had this, when I save up for that, sure goals are important. New tools both physical and informational tools are required to grow and expand. Only if action is taken. Many times, feathering the nest, or learning the latest tactics or strategy supercedes anything else.
Do something to get you to the point of sale, or increase sales and tranfer of good or services for coin of the realm today right now
When I started out like most, my first office was in an executive suites arrangement. Individual offices with shared receptionist, copier and the like. I ended up staying and renting a little larger space at better terms. So I was witness to a lot of comings and goings. If a group spent a lot of time and money getting getting chairs and pictures fancy office junk they usually didn’t stay around long.Unless they were temp office of some large company. Supported by other than themselves.
